On a personal note
For patients coping with infertility, it is sometimes not only physical difficulty and exhausting medical treatments, but also a very complex emotional handling in a variety of aspects – personal, couple, family and social. Although medical technology makes it possible to achieve pregnancy and childbirth in most cases, it often requires perseverance and patience and can also deal with a lack of success until the desired result is achieved.
In my opinion, a fertility doctor must have a combination of top professional qualities. First-class professionalism, precision and meticulousness in the details of the treatment are required, while keeping up to date with the newest medical innovations. In addition, it is necessary to maintain a broad perspective – to see the whole picture of both partners and their biological data. And no less important – to maintain sensitivity, humanity and empathy, and the ability to accompany patients even in moments of challenge and difficulty.
